Laniakea Beach on Oahu’s North Shore is a haven for green sea turtles. That’s how it got the nickname “Turtle Beach.”. … The green sea turtles come to Laniakea to feed on seaweed, abundant year round in the warm, shallow waters. When we arrived we were told that the turtles hadn’t surfaced and been up onto the beach for weeks. Within about 15 min, 4 of these amazing creatures popped up to say hi and this big fella, (who I named Terry) came up to show off.
